CREATING MUTUALLY RESPECTFUL RELATIONSHIPS IN SCHOOLS & KINDERGARTENS
Deeper connections. Resiliance, cooperation, problem-solving.
Harmonious, respectful, classrooms.
We facilitate evidence-based, interactive, experiential workshops for teachers to teach the foundational concepts of Positive Discipline where participants will learn to apply the principles and tools of Positive Discipline, an Adlerian research-based philosophy, to working with groups of children. Teachers will learn the importance of instilling a sense of belonging and significance, and how to develop it in the classroom using strategies to help students increase social and life skills such as cooperation, respect, problem-solving, and mutual respect.
Participants will learn how to:
How to create a classroom climate based on community and cooperation that enhances academic learning.
Use encouragement to increase students’ intrinsic motivation - and move away from extrinsic motivators such as rewards and punishments (yelling, exclusion, withdrawal of privileges).
Instill valuable social and emotional life skills and positive behavior through the use of class meetings.
Understand the motivation behind students' behavior instead of looking for causes.
Use proactive approaches to fostering mutual respect and cooperation, reducing the amount of energy spent on managing and controlling misbehavior.
