INTRODUCTION TO RESPECTFUL PARENTING

  • Are you sick of the same battles in your home?

  • Are you tired of nagging and yelling?

  • Do you want to find out how to foster independence in your child, eliminate common struggles and have a more harmonious home?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then I invite you to join me for an Introduction to Respectful Parenting on Monday 18th November, 6:30-7:30pm, at Saigon Coworking, Thao Dien, Ho Chi Minh City.

We will be using experiential methods to help parents get into the world of children to discover what really works and what doesn’t – what children are really thinking, feeling and deciding based on their parent’s parenting methods.

You will get to practice new skills through role-playing, and the parent helping parent model uses active student participation and group discussion as we learn and share our personal experiences.

In this introductory workshop you will learn:

  • more about what Positive Discipline is

  • valuable tools to build respectful relationships

  • effective solutions to solve problems

  • how Positive Discipline can teach important life skills, such as responsibility, cooperation and problem-solving, and give you practical strategies that will help you navigate with confidence and enjoy parenthood.

I have to be honest, as a mom of three little ones born within 3.5 years of each other, I struggled big time!

I was an expat, who gave up my career while living in Nigeria to stay at home with my first born daughter. It was one of the hardest years of my life! I had traded a life of working, for being stranded in a small apartment, in a crazy busy city, with no community. I had NO one to do this ‘baby’ thing with - no one to ask ‘Is this NORMAL?’ - no one to chat to about sleeping, feeding, pooping, crying issues, not to mention my struggle with this new ‘mom’ identity.

It wasn’t until I had my third born while living in Beijing that I was invited to join a mother’s group - and it CHANGED MY LIFE. Finally, a group of like-minded moms to not only gain support from, but also who had interests outside of being a mom! I made lifelong friends in that group and they gave me sanity to make it through those really tough times.

Since that time, I have been passionate about bringing mama’s together. Now, I am taking all my experience as an early childhood teacher, positive parenting parenting educator, and women’s wellbeing community founder, and mixing it together to bring a new concept of mothers groups to Saigon. This is your time to chill, share experiences, challenges, joys, and messy moments over brunch and coffee in a relaxed, non-judgmental space.

Can’t wait to meet you!

Love,
